Mr. Ahmed Ismaeel -23 years old – died today morning (March 31, 2012) in Salmaniya Hospital.

As witnesses told Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights (BYSHR) that Mr.Ahmed Was participating in a peaceful protest in the village of Salmabad on March 30, 2012.He was filming violations of security forces in the village. At approximately 1:30 am Ahmed was shot by a civilian vehicle.

As witnesses told BYSHR that the civilian vehicle belonging to a security officer at the Interior Ministry has fired live bullets on the village and fired live bullets on the person holding the camera.

The Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights (BYSHR) has issued list of charges and articles (click here) used by the military prosecutor to prosecute 21 opposition leaders and human rights defenders.

On February 14, 2012, the security forces in Bahrain arrested Mr.Naji Fateel, as he was participating in a march towards the Pearl Roundabout in Manama city, exercising their right to peaceful assembly to this symbolic Roundabout, which was the centre of last year protests.

: is a board member of the Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights (BYSHR) and blogger who has been active in reporting human rights violations in Bahrain.He used his account on Twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/najialifateel) for dissemination of human rights information. He was previously detained between Dec 2007 and April 2009, and has been reportedly tortured.His house was stormed in search for him several times last year following the crackdown on pro-democracy protesters.

He is suffering from damage to his spine and was supposed to travel abroad to get medical treatment.

The BYSHR call on the Bahraini government to immediately release Mr.Naji Fateel. The authorities in Bahrain should stop harassing and targeting human rights activists and allow them to continue their legitimate activities without obstruction.

King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa will today (Tuesday) receive the final report of the National Commission incharge of following-up the implementation of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry(BICI) recommendations.
