1 June 2010
The Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights launched today an interactive map showing the number of detainees in Bahrain. The map shows the names of detainees in Arabic and English according to their areas of residence.
Mohammed Al-Maskati – president of the BYSHR – stated, “the idea of the map is to publish the names of detainees and their areas for more solidarity with them whether they are in Bahrain or abroad, and this is the first phase of announcing international solidarity with the cases of detainees and using torture to extract forced confessions”.
